"Geo-fencing" is the latest buzzword in online targeting.
It's presented by slick salesmen as a new kind of super-targeting that let's you do things like zero in on female shoppers at a plus-sized clothing store as weight loss prospects, or on people who visit the emergency room (and may thus be potential PI cases).
It all sounds great in the sales pitch, but does it work in terms of an actual return on investment?
Like you, I only have time and money for things that are proven to work. Geo-fencing has serious flaws and does not make the cut. Here is why:
